When Mother Nature hit the Coast of Louisiana with Hurricane Katrina it left a path of destruction across the Parrish of St. Bernard. Once the debris was cleared the U.S. Corps of Engineers were given the task of getting St. Bernard School District back up and running. As enrollment grew a great shortage of portable classrooms was evident. Needing to house over 100 students, in less than two weeks, the Critical Public Facilities Division of the US Corps called upon Icon Construction for help.

Modular Childcare Buildings Having just completed work for them in Cameron Parish the Corps knew they could count on Icon Construction, Inc. to provide fast service and products in an extreme environment. Locating four classrooms in two buildings, delivered, set-up including steps, landings, ramps with project management on site the project was complete and ready for occupancy in 12 days post contract award.
