The largest unified and locally-controlled Indian school system in the United states has just received a  set of tools to combat the current overcrowding concern in their elementary department. Those tools are two new custom built modular buildings for classroom use.  Each building is capable of providing more than adequate classroom accommodations for the next generation.   The Choctaw Tribal School System has six elementary schools, one middle school and one boarding high school on the Choctaw Indian Reservation in east central Mississippi.  The Choctaw schools are scattered over a four-county area and serve more than 1,700 students.

The buildings, covering a total of 3,560 feet of classroom and bathroom facilities, will aid educators in promoting knowledge within all students that will empower them to lead fulfilling and productive lives.

A preliminary report issued by the Texas Department of

Surveyors fanned out across North Texas on Wednesday to access the damage from as many as 13 tornadoes that pummeled towns around
Dallas, flattening homes, flipping tractor-trailers and grounding flights.

Joplin MO last year.  An EF-5 tornado with 200+ mph winds tore through the city of Joplin damaging and destroying
approximately 30-percent of the city.  It killed more than 150 people, ranking it as one of the single deadliest tornadoes in U.S. History.

In the days after the storm, Joplin School District and other local and state officials set a goal to
return students to schools on the previously scheduled start date of August 17, 2011.  Ten Joplin School District
buildings were damaged or destroyed as a result of this devastation.  Icon Construction was pleased to aide in the
efforts to restore normalcy to the school by successfully completing a 3,000 sq. ft. modular locker room facility for the East Middle School at Crossroads
Industrial Complex.

Is smaller student to teacher ratio always better?  The obvious conclusion is we should go for
schools with low student/teacher ratios since that would mean better,
individualized attention to the student, helping in overall development of the
